This namesake wine is a majority Cabernet Sauvignon blend; extended maceration gives the wine a deep and intense crimson color inviting you into the glass. Officially ranked as one of only four classified first growths in the Paris Exposition of 1855 and named as the “leader among fine wines”, Château Lafite Rosthchild has a storied history dating back to 1234. Surviving natural disasters, wars and crises, the oldest plot of land known as “La Gravière” is 115 years old.
