Barossa Valley

The Barossa Valley is located in the state of South Australia. It is here where the Shiraz wines were truly elevated to the world stage. Here they have power and richness, yet also capture the aromatics which are intrinsically all Syrah, such as cracked pepper, and earth. The Shiraz from Barossa also has a Bordeaux-like balance, which comes from both the toast of the wood, and the ripeness the grapes achieve here. Add that to the plethora of 100+ year old vines, and you get wines with great character.
