There are few places as unique as Madeira to grow grapes, and that terroir, process, and history have shaped the incredible wines offered up by the D'Oliiveiras house. Having wines as far back as 1850, their cellars house some of the most limited vintages including this 1912 Verdelho Madeira. Verdehlos are typically made in the finest of vintages and possess more of the ageable characteristics in "Frasqueira" type Madeira. Medium-Dry, honey nut driven aromatics with slight sea breeze, on the palate the 1912 shows an incredible depth of brightness and acidity akin to Sherry, backed my a floral tea with a dollop of honey.
