Weingut Pfaffl signifies family; founded in 1978 by Roman and Adelheid, the winery is now run by second generation Roman and Heidi. What began as a simple farm with just 2 acres of vines has grown into 270 acres covering different soil types and microclimates in the wine region surrounding Vienna. The house red wine of the Pfaffl family is classic Austrian Zweigelt: juicy cherry fruit wrapped in velvety tannins. Great for everyday drinking and the perfect pizza wine! Founder Roman Pfaffl is affectionately known as “Mr. Veltliner” due to his pioneering role in popularizing the Grüner Veltliner grape variety.
