The history of Croft dates back to 1588 and they’ve continued this tradition by making some of the most distinct Port wines. The complexity of the 1977 vintage port show right away in the glass. It has a garnet hue with a nose of ripe cherry, red-berried fruit, candied ginger, honey. After a little more time in the glass, the wine soon shows hints of blackberry and black tea leaf. The palate is sweet, ripe, and very well rounded in texture, supple with a rich long finish.
