1981 Vichon Cabernet Sauvignon
$75.00Vichon is a little know piece of history in Napa Valley. Vichon was a brand started by restaurateurs who coined the team "food wine" during the early 1980s. Located on the Oakville grade at the base of the Maycamus mountains, these vineyards were picked at lower sugars to make higher acidic wines that pair better with food. The Vichon Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect example of food-friendly wines that age beautifully, and 1981 is no exemption. This wine is not showing signs of slowing down; rich plum, tobacco, and cedar box make this a great wine to pair with anything from the grill or the oven.
