Boizel’s Grand Vintage is a remarkable cuvee produced only in the best years of harvest. 3% of the wine is first aged 8 months in small barrels, then aged an additional 8 years on its lees in bottle, post second fermentation. The cuvee is a blend of 40% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs (Mesnil sur Oger, Chouilly, Vertus), 50% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims (Mailly, Bisseuil) and 10% Pinot Meunier from Cumières. The result is an intense, powerful, truly great champagne with rare elegance.
