

Since 1878, the Fontanafredda Estate & Winery has been a benchmark producer of Barolo and Barbera. Dolcetto, a third signature native red grape variety from northern Italy’s Piedmont region, offers fuller structure than zippier Barbera, but is approachable sooner than many of its heavier weight cousins in Barolo. Made within the esteemed Diano d’Alba district, this wine offers intense aromas and flavors of blackberries, cherries, plums and raspberries with velvety tannins and a long, savory finish.
