The Priorat region derives its name from the ancient priories, or monasteries, in which Spanish Monks would seclude themselves from the world. Today, the region is known for outstanding red wines. Les Mines is aged in oak barrels for 12 months, followed by 1 year in the bottle prior to release. The end result: a deep purple haze full of ripe red fruits, coffee, sweet mint, and an underlying minerality. Full-bodied yet balanced, perfect for dishes with bold flavors and spice.
