This estate-bottled, single-vineyard Riesling is produced from grapes grown in the famed gray slate soil in the renowned Wehlener Sonnenuhr, which was recently designated as an Erste Lage – or top vineyard site by the VDP. This wine is medium-bodied, complex and refined, with rich fruit flavors underscored by nuances of mineral and slate. It is outstanding as an aperitif or with pâtés, cheeses, roast turkey and duck breast.
