Santa Ceilia highlights the Planeta winery’s deep dedication to producing the best Nero d’Avola in the Noto DOC, known as the epicenter of Nero d’Avola cultivation. A very spicy fruity wine, brilliant and clear, perfumed with carob, bergamot and orange peel. Ripe fruit and balsamic notes on the palate dissolve in a sweet and vigorous manner to accompany compact tannins. There’s a delicious and distinctive (yet pleasurable!) tang to this wine, which can stand up to almost all matching – from pork with chili peppers to rich fish dishes.
