The Clos du Roy vineyard is located near the top of the famed Corton hill, the only red Grand Cru in the Côte de Beaune. Predominantly clay and limestone soil with eastern exposures create elegant yet concentrated fruit; the aroma of this wine is what makes one fall in love with Burgundy! The wine ages in 50% new French oak, building on the fine tannins and beautiful structure that will allow this wine to keep for up to 20 years.
