The Veneto region in Italy’s northeast corner contributes nearly a quarter of Italy’s total wine production. The Marchesi Fumanelli family, established in Valpolicella in 1470, gives this white wine the same care and attention as their notable reds. A 50/50 blend of Garganega and Trebbiano Toscano, grapes are hand-harvested and left to rest for 20 days before fermentation begins. Aged for 18 months in barrel and 1 year in bottle, the end result is concentrated and powerful, aromas of fresh citrus and fresh baked bread.
