There is no argument, the Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru vineyard produces the finest expression of the Chardonnay grape in the world! Enhanced by the careful attention in the vineyard and cellar by owners Phillippe Duvernay and Laura Coffinet. Hand-harvested followed by gentle pressing, the wine is gravity fed into small oak barrels for fermentation. The end result is a rich, luscious, wine with honeyed fruit and substantial body leaving a lingering finish of white flowers, mineral notes, and wild mushrooms.
