Pinot Noir is the king of Pommard, as only red wines are allowed to grow in this appellation. Iron-oxide colors the soil red which translates to the beautiful ruby red color once the wine reaches your glass. This vineyard produces a soft and round wine with substantial body and beautiful expressions of cherry, blackberry and spice. While vivacious in its youth, this wine will mellow over time.
