Since 1878, the Fontanafredda Estate & Winery has been a benchmark producer of Barolo and Barbera. Dolcetto, a third signature native red grape variety from northern Italy’s Piedmont region, offers fuller structure than zipper Barbera, but is approachable sooner than many of its many of its heavier weight cousins in Barolo.
