The region of Gigondas is defined by the Dentelles de Montmirail, jagged limestone formations that sit above the town, reaching 2,600 feet at their peak. Over the years, the Dentelles have crumbled, forming pockets of limestone rich soils that define the terroir of this region. Located just 10 miles from Châteaneuf-Du-Pape, Gigondas is similar in style but with more perfume and finesse. Ripe red fruits, leather and spice are balanced by an underlying elegant minerality and freshness.
