2015 Paul Mas Estate Malbec

Jean-Claude Mas is a 4th generation grape-grower who took over his family’s winery in 2000, showcasing beautiful wines of authenticity and refinement from the Languedoc. Malbec is typically a blending grape in France, and was almost killed off during a particularly bad frost in 1956 when 75% of crops were lost. These 19-year-old vines produce a powerful and complex wine that is full-bodied yet strikes an ideal balance between concentrated fruit, ripe tannins, and layers of sweet spices.

Vin de Pays d'Oc

This appellation broadly covers wines from the Languedoc and Roussillon regions in the South of France that do not fall under more specific designations. It encompasses a diverse style of wines, from light whites to full-bodied reds, and everything in between. Bordeaux and Rhone varieties are popular here, as single varietals or blends.
