Villa Marcello covers 27 hectares of vines in Fontanelle, within the Prosecco DOC in northeastern Italy. This classic Prosecco is made with predominantly Glera (the Ancient Roman grape that is one of the main grapes of Prosecco) and a touch of Pinot Bianco. A bright straw yellow color, tiny bubbles gleam from the glass. Apple and acacia blossom translate from aroma to palate, with a complex and refreshing finish. Extended aging on the lees helps round out the creamy mouthfeel.
