Château Coudray-Montpensier encompasses 30 hectares of grapes with a storied history that dates back to the Middle Ages. The castle on the property originates from the 14th century; in 1492 Joan of Arc stayed in the castle's tower during the Hundred Years War while waiting to organize an attack against the English. This Cabernet Franc bottling is classic Chinon: aromas of black fruit and vanilla, bright acidity on the palate with soft tannins and flavors of blackcurrant and spice.
