2016 Recanati Reserve Marselan

$50.00

Produced from grapes sourced at a single vineyard 2000 feet above sea level, this 100% Marselan wine combines the nobility of Cabernet Sauvignon with the savage of Grenache, creating this new, “noble savage.” Recanati Winery is the first Israeli winery to use this varietal.

Upper Galilee

Upper Galilee is located in Israel, north of Tel Aviv. It is often compared to California's Sonoma County in terms of climate, soil, and geographic location in relation to the ocean. Naturally, a lot of the same grape varieties grow here, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvginon Blanc. Mediterranean varieties, like Syrah, Carignan, and Petite Sirah, also grow exceptionally well here.
