Matt Naumann and Audra Chapman created Newfound Wines after nearly two decades of managing wine bars, shops, and cellars in California. The duo farms and sources grapes from an array vineyards across California, creating wines with a simplistic mindset that shows a “less is more” vibe. This savory and spicy Carignane shows flavors of crunchy red berries, tart plums, and spice, balanced by vibrant acidity and well-integrated tannins. This medium-bodied, structured, very flavorful and food-friendly red wine is very good now and will get even better with short term aging.
