2017 Recanati Reserve Petite Sirah

There’s nothing petite about Recanati’s Petite Sirah, made from grapes that are hand-picked from old vines, and grown on Terra Rossa soil at a high elevation. This Petite Sirah is fermented over 7 days, with pump-overs three times per day for maximum color and phenolic extraction before aging an additional 7 months in new French oak barrels.

ABV % = 14.5

Upper Galilee

Upper Galilee is located in Israel, north of Tel Aviv. It is often compared to California's Sonoma County in terms of climate, soil, and geographic location in relation to the ocean. Naturally, a lot of the same grape varieties grow here, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvginon Blanc. Mediterranean varieties, like Syrah, Carignan, and Petite Sirah, also grow exceptionally well here.
