Also known as “Hamdani,” the Marawi varietal is white grape variety indigenous to Israel. Recanati Winery was the first winery to commercially produce these grapes for the first time since the 17th century through a groundbreaking project between an Israeli winery and a Palestinian vineyard. Grapes hail from 30-year old vines and are dry-farmed with no irrigation. The end result is a full-bodied wine with aromas of grapefruit, guava and tropic notes.
