2020 Recanati Reserve 'Davids Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon

The grapes used to produce this Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from vineyards in the Upper Galilee area of Israel, one of the country’s most beautiful wine regions. The rocky, porous soil found on the slopes of Galillee truly lends itself to producing this vibrant, complex Cabernet. Aged for 17 months in French oak barrels, this Israeli beauty is not one to be missed.

Upper Galilee

Upper Galilee is located in Israel, north of Tel Aviv. It is often compared to California's Sonoma County in terms of climate, soil, and geographic location in relation to the ocean. Naturally, a lot of the same grape varieties grow here, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvginon Blanc. Mediterranean varieties, like Syrah, Carignan, and Petite Sirah, also grow exceptionally well here.
