2021 Commanderie de la Bargemone Côtes de Provence Rosé

$19.00

Roman ruins buried more than 150 feet underground indicate winemaking practices on the estate date back to the 11th century. Today, the predominantly Grenache vineyards produce beautiful expressions of Provencal Rosé. A floral nose with exotic citrus fruits is certainly "in the air" with this lovely iteration; a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, and Rolle. The wine is round and fruity, pleasantly coating the mouth with each sip. An ideal aperitif or paired with seafood, Asian, or Mediterranean dishes.

Côtes de Provence

Côtes de Provence is an appellation in the southeast of France that is synonymous with dry, elegant rosé wines. There are some red wines made here, as well as a bit of white, but it is the rosé made from Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and other Rhône varieties that makes this region shine. The wines have a telltale floral element, with notes of dried rosehips, roses, and violets. They also known for a vibrant fruit flavors of dried raspberries, cherries, and strawberries. These wines can vary in body, color, and style, but the most common are pale, dry, crisp and savory.
