2017 Mas de La Dame La Gourmande Rouge
$21.00Mas de la Dame, or "farm of the lady" is a 16th-century wine estate located in Les Baux de Provence, a tiny hilltop village in the Alpilles mountains of south-eastern France. The AOC designation was only formed in 1995 and includes seven other communes in the western corner of Provence. While the geographic location may read "Provence" the wines are heavily influenced by neighboring Southern Rhone. "La Gourmande Rouge" is a blend of Grenache and Syrah, aged in stainless steel, preserving ripe red fruit flavors accented by soft spices. Rich, full, and round with a beautiful ruby tinge.
