Sparkling wines have been produced in Italy’s Piedmont region for hundreds of years. To celebrate its 156th birthday, Fontanafredda Estate & Winery released a special cuvée made by the classic method - the same method that is used in the production of Champagne. This wine is a ‘blanc de noirs,’ a white sparkling wine produced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Aromas of honey, ripe pear and thyme lead to zesty acidity and refined, persistent bubbles.
