NV Altemasi Rosé

$45.00

Grapes sourced for Altemasi Brut Rosé are grown at altitudes of 450 to 600 meters above sea level around Trentino, on the Brentonico plateau located at the foothills of the Dolomite Alps. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the Chardonnay grapes are fermented in oak barrels while the Pinot Noir portion has extended contact with the skins. This blend elicits complex notes of ripe cherry, black currant and red apples- a well-balanced Rosé with a lasting finish. The Brut Rosé is a limited production.

Trentino

Northern Italy's Trentino region is located in the foothills of the Dolomite Alps, along the Adige River. Most of the grapes are grown on the eastern and western slopes, which form the valley along the Adige. The area is famous for whites from Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as reds from Pinot Noir, Lagrein, and Teroldego. Most of the region makes dry still wines, but it is acclaimed for some of the best traditional method sparkling wine in the world, made under the TrentoDOC appellation from Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
